  Thanks, Kjetil, I also wanted to weigh in on this matter with a
similar opinion. No offense to Thierry, but I appreciate Josep's update
messages. I don't consider them inappropriate here, they are indeed
on-topic, and it's good to see the progress he's making. Josep
represents the kind of audio software programmer that perhaps only the
free software world can produce and encourage: an amateur who has
discovered that programming isn't an activity restricted to the Masters
Of C And C++ and that it's possible to write good and useful programs
even with an amateur's skills. He is actively seeking comment and
helpful criticism, and I suggest that it is more helpful for the
community to encourage rather than discourage him. And it's not like his
posts are chewing up the LAD bandwidth... ;)
