I tried using the same settings,

which failed, at first but ...<br>

I got it working by changing periods buffer from 3 to 2 (soundblaster
live value)<br>
And switching realtime off. (when I try to change them, Jack wont start
anymore.<br>

Open the "settings"-window in qjackctl and make it look like this:

Forget about this oss-crap, please - it is only needed on older I-Books
to make jack barely work. In any other case the alsa-driver (-d alsa) is
better.
