<div class="gmail_quote"><br><br><br>does anyone know an alternative to timidity. <br>i am finding it incredibly unstable and fickle. i like how it has all the general midi sounds(as horrid as they are) all set up and on the standard programs and channels, but it seems to crash all the time when using jack and midi apps. i can't figure out what it is that is causing me the grief but i need an alternative to compose(notation) with. <br>
<br>i know there are things like fluidsynth but it requires such maintenance and programming patches it seems a little counter intuitive when i need to get ideas on the page fast.<br><br>thanks.<br><br>t<br>
