</div>Yes, I agree trying to fix windows can be quite a chore, a clean install<br>
is preferable. Once you have it fixed I would recommend backing it up<br>
with acronis or clonezilla. I get very tired of fixing XP but it is<br>
handy to have around for various reasons. Making restorable images has<br>
saved me hours of work.<br>
