</div>i've always been curious about which programs/services i can get rid<br>
of, but i've been too chicken to experiment first hand, not wanting to<br>
break a working system. can you point to some good resources to<br>
determine which stuff is expendable for a music-oriented system?<br>
FWIW, i've been running xubuntu, like someone else has already<br>
suggested, works great.<br>
