Hey Dave,<br>Check Preferences -> Backend to see if the 'launch backend if not started' checkbox is selected. It should be.<br>If like Julian said that ps ax | grep linuxsampler does return true, you need to create the audio and midi devices, in the device tab.<br>

I think LinuxSampler itself has no option to automatically connect. At least<br>
I've never seen it in the protocol. this is a task for the frontends. So your<br>
plugin should have an option to ayutomatically connect LS.<br>
Did you see no LS at all:<br>
ps -ax | grep linuxsampler<br>
If not, perhaps the plugin just didn't start LS itself. Sorry, that's only<br>
my little bit. :-)<br>
