Fixed.<br><br>Reinstallation has reset settings in PulseAudio Device Chooser. I had to launch it and choose Default Sink and Default Server in there, which showed nothing chosen after reinstallation. Restart firefox and all works fine.<br>

Had choppy sound in Virtual Box. Read somewhere on forums that the
solution is to install libsdl1.2debian-pulseaudio. Did that (it
uninstalled libsdl1.2debian-alsa). It did not help the chopping issue,
plus sound from firefox disappeared. The rest of the sound seems fine.<br>
Okay, uninstalled libsdl1.2debian-pulseaudio, installed alsa package
back. However, sound to firefox did not return. Can anyone please help?<br><font color="#888888">
