Hi list.<br><br>I have generally been using the onboard sound on my laptop, which has generally been OK on Doze using ASIO4All but due to heavy use the socket is becoming intermittent and I've discovered that with Linux (various distros all the same) that it is incredibly hissy and noisy (coming and going sa thing happen life hard drive or CD spin up.)<br><br>Anyway I have given up trying to remove that unbearable noise and think it's time to get an external audio interface anyway.<br><br>My idea choice would be the RMA Multiface II with ExtraCard asapter but don't think I can warrant spending £780 when I wont use many of its functions a lot of the time.<br><br>More budget choice is the Indigo IOx, although I know I will miss having 2x stereo out if I ever want to do a DJ set at £150 it makes a lot more sense for an everyday use card I can carry around with the laptop.<br><br>So how well do the Echo Indigo cards work with Linux? Current distro of choice is Fedora 15 (without the CCRMA core as it breaks my computer.)<br><br>Thanks. Dale.<br> </div></body>
