<div dir="ltr"><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:tahoma,sans-serif;font-size:large;color:rgb(0,0,0)">Hi guys. I know I did this before ... but for some reason I can't get timidity to play on my laptop to an external USB device. Works fine using the internal speakers.<br>
<br></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:tahoma,sans-serif;font-size:large;color:rgb(0,0,0)">I can play audio to the USB. No problems there.<br><br></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:tahoma,sans-serif;font-size:large;color:rgb(0,0,0)">
But, timidity just won't play nice. No errors (of course). And no sound either.<br><br></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:tahoma,sans-serif;font-size:large;color:rgb(0,0,0)">I've noticed that the timidity daemon gets launched at boot, and I have killed that ... no changes. I'm going to work on this some more tomorrow (after i get a good sleep), but the first thing I'm doing is to kill the daemon. <br>
<br></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:tahoma,sans-serif;font-size:large;color:rgb(0,0,0)">This is being controlled by pulse, but that should help :)<br><br></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:tahoma,sans-serif;font-size:large;color:rgb(0,0,0)">
I need to get this working in the next few days for a little gig and I don't want to rely on the internal speakers going to an amp!<br><br></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:tahoma,sans-serif;font-size:large;color:rgb(0,0,0)">
Thanks.<br clear="all"></div><br>-- <br>**** Listen to my FREE CD at <a href="http://www.mellowood.ca/music/cedars" target="_blank">http://www.mellowood.ca/music/cedars</a> ****<br>Bob van der Poel ** Wynndel, British Columbia, CANADA **<br>
