I get this impression by an unreliable method called intuition, and I
am wondering if there exists a reliable method that I can use to

To reproduce your Intuition, you can only use your intuition...<br>
Im not sure... do you want to find out if the material souds good,
vor do you want to detect Codecs?<br>
For the first, use intuition, for the second i am not aware of
tools dedicated to that usecase.<br>
