That is the idea behind <a
href="http://non.tuxfamily.org/wiki/Non%20Session%20Manager">non-session
manager (nsm)</a> with which a lot of (if not all) Linux tools
gradually became compatible.<br>
You define a "song", and by just clicking on it everything
(Sequencers, plugins, various tools, a jack graph manager, etc) is
restored at launch, supposedly.<br>
