hello,

I gathered some information on the topic of registering a foundation
here in Amsterdam, but please keep in mind IANAL.

what is a Foundation (Stichting) in Netherlands?
Foundations are continental European equivalents of the Anglo-Saxon
trusts, the long-established estate and tax planning tool whose chief
purpose is to provide a safe haven for assets intended for selected
beneficiaries.
Like trusts, they offer a number of tax benefits, their chief purpose
being to provide a haven for assets intended for nominated
beneficiaries.

the practical procedure in forming a Foundation is to have a minimum of
3 founder members, a statute like the one we're formulating and a Notar.
Beaurocracy can be sorted out in a few days here in Amsterdam, the cost
of incorporating it would be approximately 500 euros.

i can provide more help in eventual translations and template documents
with institutional contacts i have here in A'dam, depending whether or
not we intend to proceed.

to me it looks quite easy and smooth, alltough we really need to have
something to do with it after we create the Foundation ;)

ciao
