[Consortium] delta 66, problems

I hope someone can help with this .

I have two sound cards on this machine, a M-audio D66 which I use for 
SDR work and a USB PNP onboard device.
I normally have pulseaudio very disabled.
Since trying to get another application to run I've managed to screw 
things up.
Portaudio pa_devs shows the card is device 2 hw 0:0, no matter which 
application I use no audio gets routed, yet if I run the Envy24 panel
I can switch the audio input to output directly.

If I install pulseaudio it can see both the card output only but not the
D66 input.
lsmod shows the module for the D66 card is loaded..
Any ideas, I'm close to a reinstall
