Is it that time of the year(s) already? I really should checkout
Ardour again, which I had not been following compilationwise for
months. 

Regarding the PDF: What would you think about adding "VST (x86) plugin
support via external software" to the list of Editing features? I
didn't test this obviously, but it's a cool buzzword.
