they don't.

i met with these guys at NAMM this last weekend. they like linux, it
boots linux, but there's no magic here - no clever ways to do things
with linux that you don't already know.

its just a regular micro-ATX board with a P4 on it built into a
keyboard. they are currently using a delta 1010 for audio i/o, mounted
on the back edge of the thing.

my overall impression: cool for somethings, but the current hardware
feels a bit cheap, and someone made an excellent comparison to those
tv's with a vcr built into it. 

i'd probably prefer to use plugzilla, which runs windows-compiled
vst's without windows, and besides, marc lindahl is a cool cat and
deserves support.
