a colleague of mine presented a cool hack last week in a VR class: he 
wrote a data glove to midi controller mapper in qt and used it to 
controll echo and cutoff settings of a sequenced dance track. add your 
gamepad thingy, and people will gaze open-mouthed for hours on end :)
