I really don't see this as a problem.

For my two libraries (libsndfile and libsamplerate) I'm glad to see them
run on OSX. 

For GUI stuff, someone is going to have to either write a native GUI or
suffer the VERY slow speed of X11 on top of the laready slow OSX.
