Yeah. The idea that you could forget about "poliphony" is perhaps most 
important though ;).

Actually, I've been thinking about similar things at several occasions, I even 
posted a message here in a similar (though more elaborate) vein a few years

I read sometime ago that Logic has a freeze feature built in nowdays also.
