We have had that expression, for the RME / Fireface case at least.

It's only a fact modulo your assumptions, which in turn depend on your
perspective. Define 'better'. Philosophers have been busy doing that for
some tens of centuries, and they still do not agree.
We do not live in a world that has realised this ideal. Lots of people
think differently, and we have to live with them.

If I've written anything that amounts to a personal attack I do regret
that. But I do not think I have.
