Uhmm ... you mention ALSA so we may not be on the same level? I was
asking for OSS (Yes I know I'm an old fashioned bastard reluctant to
change a working system.)

But otherwise you are right, I would like to learn how to use timidity++
as a realtime synthesizer module.
