Perfect it is not.  My favorite mouse has a wheel which is not very fine
grained.  Not so good for moving a knob.  Besides that, you still need to
decide whether the main control (left-click) is linear or radial.  Mouse
wheel is an add-on and not something that can be considered standard, yet.
