I use Drumatic as a DSSI plugin through the DSSI-VST bridge
(dssi-vst.so, see http://www.sf.net/projects/dssi,
http://dssi.sf.net/). It works very well for me.

I'd love to see a native DSSI drum synth, as I'm sure I've said many
times before. With the minimal JACK/ALSA-sequencer host included in
the DSSI distribution you can run such a plugin as a standalone synth
and drive it from seq24 or any other host that doesn't support DSSI.

We'll probably do another release of DSSI quite soon, but it won't
have many changes from the last one as the API is stabilising nicely.
I'd really encourage anyone thinking of writing a synth, especially a
small (from the user point of view) or single-purpose one like this,
to consider using DSSI.
