Oops! I'm not familiar either ;) it just works on my nearest box (Mdk
10.1, 2.6.11-rc2-RT-V0.7.37-01 + rt-limit-2.6.11-rc2-D8)

Before some gdb guru comes around for real help, would you just try if
qjackctl 0.2.13 suffers from the same illness? You can grab this previous
one directly from:

http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/qjackctl/qjackctl-0.2.13.tar.gz?download
