The cell is arranged in vectors though, so might not be optimized for 
classical DSP algorithms.

The upcoming vmx2/altivec2 on the other hand, will rewire the double 
registers for taking complex FFTs and such.

It will be afordable at some point in time ... in a consumer package 
from sony.
