Since everything in LADSPA (and I assume in your app) is floats, there is
nor reason for the [-1:1] limits, except when you go to the sound card.
Your app will probably have a volume control at that point.

Otherwise, 0.5 * (L + R) will be limited to [-1:1] if both inputs are.
