I think there's still a future for PCI devices - I don't expect laptop
vendors to start making them durable enough to use on stage in a rock
club anytime soon.  My dream is that with the right hardware the Linux
effects box could be the "MythTV box" for musucians, and complete n00bs
will be learning Linux just to build them...
