If you mean the "Moog" filters, it's not arbitrary, but 1/octave as for
everything in AMS, for which they were written.

I never had a bug report for this, rather the opposite. 
And why then should *you* be getting them ? 

If OTOH you mean the 4-band parametric, it does take frequency control
values in Hz (and gains in dB).

All this doesn't change the fact that the rationale I commented on
*is* fake, whatever the qualities of LV2 (which I do not even deny).
