You'll need to regenerate configure script.  gitcompile would do that
job.

I recommend you to use the snapshot tarball from
    ftp://ftp.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/people/tiwai/snapshot/alsa-driver-snapshot.tar.gz

This is created automatically at each update of my git trees below
    git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/tiwai/sound-2.6.git
