[LAD] linuxsampler plugin ?

I suspected as much when I tested the same arrangement with the Calf 
Monosynth and again got no sound.

But while we're on the topic: Am I correct to assume that the LS (or 
other instrument) plugin should be loaded/applied to the MIDI track 
itself, i.e. not on a separate bus ?
