You are able to start the client via the Non Session Manager GUI. If you 
need to add arguments to the client, you can do this via a script using 
the exec command. Liles is going to write a proxy app to make this more 
easy. With the client jackpatch you can make the connections. You have 
to manually save the clients who doesn't support NSM in this situation.

Iirc this is also possible with JackSession, but it's not implemented in 
Qjackctl and I'm not sure how this works at the end. At least in NSM it 
seems to be more easy, with a nicer workflow.
