[linux-audio-user] not quite so simple.... mandrake 9.0 +devfs help!!

patrick,

with respect, i have been compiling programs for years and still do so 
frequently - you might remember i have been trying cvs alsa at various 
stages (on a different HDD)

the reason i have rpms is because i did an upgrade install of mandrake 
9.0 - it put them there for me.

now to remove them from rpm records i need to try and use rpm where 
possible until the system is clean, otherwise i end up with these conflicts.

tbh i use tarballs where possible and rpm where lazy. according to 
marcel gagne, the best sysadmins are lazy ;-)
