It's no problem at all!  :-)

just 

# modprobe hfs
# mount -t hfs /dev/[your partition] /mnt/

If you have hfs support compiled in the kernel, that is.  Most modern
distros do.

You will lose all resource forks, but Linux can't use those anyway.
