   I use both environments to ensure I can use the best tools available. I
suspect others do also. I think you suggest that all Linux users are closed
minded Linux-only people? I think we disagree about that.

Those programs are all for Windows.  What good could they possibly do
me, or anyone else on this list?

The fact is, I did a google search, and was inundated with
Windows-only and proprietary, closed-source programs.  It is difficult
to narrow such a search by adding "Linux" or "UNIX" because so many
"shareware music apps" have all of this worthless navigation frill
that includes "Linux apps" on the sidebar.  Also, I was
curious to see if anyone had any experience with any programs --
i.e. "this sucks, don't waste time compiling it" or "this is
unmaintained and won't compile but it's worth the effort".

A company called GVOX made a $100 hardware device that looks promising,
but they're out of business now.
