I was referencing Jack because once you start using it as it is intended 
to be used you will be working with more than 10 tracks at one time. 
You may only be recording one track but you could be streaming 20 to get 
that one track sounding right.

In that case a lot of RAM is very important so you don't fill up the tmp 
dir constantly and two HDDs will make the whole process more likely to 
succeed.
