Because factory workers in China get 1 day off every two weeks, and wages 
start at under 1 US dollar per day.

Confronted with a Behringer B1 condenser mic with gold plated capsule, elastic 
suspension and flight case - priced under 100 UK pounds - I asked myself the 
same question, so I did some research. 

It does bother me, so now I'm using secondhand UK-built gear instead.
