Yes, if you need this you typically upsample before the filter, perform
the filter operation, then downsample again. Obviously its more
convienient if the whole thing runs at 96k, but the cost isn't worth it,
yet.

I know that many hardware synths run at 96k internally, but they have
the luxury of more horsepower.
