  I don't know about the program you mentioned, but there is a small nice app
called ecamegapedal. I think you can find it at:
  http://www.eca.cx
  It would be mainly based on the available ladspa-FX. There are some
distortion FX and there is a nice preamp-effect. You can find it on:
  http://linux-sound.org click on ladspa and there it is mentioned directly.
