I've wanted to build something like this for several years.  It sounds like
we've toyed with some similar design ideas.  Let me know if you ever get
started with this project, I'd like very much to be involved.  I'll probably
start such a project myself in a few years if nobody else does, but I don't
feel ready to tackle it yet.
