	It would depend on whether your non-RIAA preamp was "flat".  The RIAA
preamps have very few inflection points in the curve.  I used the
standard points and then let the spline do the intervening points.  It
works very well for me.  Now, if I'd just been a bit more careful with
my big black CDs, when I was a kid... ;-)
