Well, I am trying to get you some support. I am not hopeful though.
They seem pretty set in their ideas right now.

Let me ask  - are you a developer? If RME suddenly did provide the
information, and you are the only LAU user with this box, are you
capable of developing the first Linux Audio 1394 driver? How do you
see this getting put together?
