http://bugtrack.alsa-project.org is a good place to start.

For more feadback some more infos please:
$ lspci
$ modinfo snd-usb-usx2y
$ lsmod

If you then know that your system uses ohci usb and your snd-usb-usx2y's version is pre 0.8.6,
then please install a recent cvs version of alsa.
If obstacles in your case appear to be something else, come back with the output of above 3 commands.
