[linux-audio-user] A little scared of Debian, was Fresh PC waiting for basic installation - Advice?

might be best to make the changes in whatever package manager...

 I suppose you could just get all your rpms or debs together in one spot and
type "alien -d or -r or whatever" and magically transform them all at once...
It's just not the same as watching apt-get do it's little dance on the command
line or having the whole thing taken care of for you in synaptic...
