Looks like there's bug in the interaction between the libc threads implementation and the 2.6 kernel. Please try rerunning your test with this set in your environment... $ export LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.4.19 That seems to bypass all the JACK problems with 2.6.6 that I've been able to reproduce. -- joq
