You could remove the flanges of any rack-mount unit using a hacksaw, 
but it's not recommended :)

Sometimes the flanges are bolted on either side, i.e. they are 
optional, but often they are part of the front panel of the unit. On 
the Delta 1010 they are part of the panel.
