yes i completely agree.

but i'm thinking that actually the distinction may not
be that esoteric after all, and is maybe why Frank originally
mentioned this issue in passing. The distinction emphasises:

a) that certain copyright holders dont have as much as they 
claim (they own nothing but some rights), and 

b) the genius of the GPL, in that it revolutionises production
and distribution while still staying true to the intent of
the law.
