| a simple poll for your ml people here:
|
| a.) what (linux) distribution do you use?
Suse 9.3 and Mandriva 10.2
|
| b.) does the distribution that you use supply a lot of audio-related
packages
| by default?
|
both have lots of Packages available. Suse tends to cut the
Audiopackages in the default install to be "fit" for the US-Market,
where Audiosoftware must be crippled because of the bizarre US-Patent-Law.
| c.) do you consider the distribution that you use to be notably
adequate for
| audio production? why?
|
both are but i tend to prefer Suse/Novell for it comes with a very good
Environment to build Packages from source and it has better
Hardware-Support than others.
