[linux-audio-user] Saving Alsa Mixer Settings

Hi. Marv. I don't believe that Arts being started or stopped has anything to 
do with the mixer config. RH9 as you say has the KDE mixer config in control 
centre/sound & multimedia/mixer, as has FC1 which uses KDE 3.1.4-9.legacy, 
and FC2 which uses KDE 3.2.2-8.FC2. Debian Sarge/Etch which uses KDE 3.3 has 
now moved the mixer config to Kmix, as has Gentoo which I have KDE 3.4 on. 
Kmix does not allways install with the menubar showing. You have to right 
click on the main Kmix panel with the sliders, then have the option to show 
menubar, then settings/Kmix configure, and you have access to this annoying 
"load volumes at startup" checkbox. All the best. Nigel.
