None that I know of under Linux with these sorts of features. I was
involved with the project for over 3 years as an in-depth tester and
user before the changed the direction. During that time period it was
either LS or GSt for me.

There are many other simple sample players, but none that I know of
that read Gig files.

LS is a good program. I sincerely hope the developers will remove this
language one of these days. Until then I'm a Windows sampler user.
