That's definitely a good one.

Kronos Quartet's recording of his 1st and 2nd quartets is great:

as is everything they have ever done, in my experience. I was first
exposed to them in 5th grade by a nun who happened to know Joan
Jeanrenaud. When I was in high school they were performing nearby and my
band director's wife heard they were looking for a school to visit. They
played in our band room and talked to us for close to 2 hours. A few
years ago I got to hear them perform Steve Reich's Triple Concerto ... I
get shivers just thinking about that.

Any way ... I like this disk:

Arvo Part, Henryk Gorecki, Galina Ustvolskaya: Solo Piano Works David Arden
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B000001SIC/102-5874444-3991336?v=glance

some other Gorecki disks I own and love ...

These are available on one disk:
Miserere Op44; Amen Op35

And these on another:
Kleines Requiem für Eine Polka (Little Requiem for a Polka), Op. 66 (1993)
Concerto for Harpsichord & String Orchestra, Op. 40 (1980)
Good Night, Op. 63 (1990)

I can't think of more Arvo Part ... I know I have some more, but can't
think of titles right now.

Man ... just thinking of this music motivates me to get my studio
finished so I have a decent listening room.
