I just posted a reply to this article.

Thing is this guy usally writes some good stuff ( normally HTML-CSS 
stuff,  never knew he played!)

I was amazed at his comments about not caring what amp/guitar he uses!!

How long do we all spend sourcing Mics/ preamps/amps for a studio
and he says it doesnt matter!
